The federal government said on Friday that from 1 a.m. Eastern time on Monday, April 25, children in the age group of 5 to 11 will not need to complete the covid-19 test before entry, accompanied by vaccinated parents, stepparents, guardians or mentors. However, travelers aged 12 and over who are currently eligible to enter Canada still need to undergo a pre entry test if they are partially vaccinated or not vaccinated,

The government added that children under the age of five were not required to provide covid-19 test results.

Previously, Canada has cancelled the new crown PCR test requirements for fully vaccinated passengers before arrival.

The government's statement on Friday also said that fully vaccinated travelers do not need to provide isolation plans at the time of entry. This requirement will also be lifted for children aged 5 to 11 who are accompanied by their parents, stepparents, guardians or mentors, as well as travelers with medical contraindications to covid-19 vaccine.

In addition, fully vaccinated travelers entering Canada on or after April 25 do not need to wear masks in public places, monitor and report any symptoms; There is no need for quarantine if another traveler in the same line has symptoms or tests positive; And there is no need to keep a list of close contacts and places.

At present, the government requires travelers to comply with the above regulations within 14 days after arriving in Canada.
